Born in Reggio Emilia (Italy), Alice Borciani graduated in trumpet and in singing at the conservatory of Reggio Emilia. She specialized in Baroque vocal repertoire with Monica Piccinini. In 2012 she graduated with distinction at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the guidance of Gerd Türk.

In 2005 she won the International Music Competition "Premio Città di Padova". In 2010 she won the Third Prize in the International competition of Baroque singing "Francesco Provenzale" in Napoli organized by the Cappella Pietà dei Turchini. In 2013, with the ensemble Cafebaum, she won the first prize at the Göttingen Händel-Festspiele competition for young ensembles of baroque music.

Alice Borciani started the choral activity at very young age. Among her first performances as soloist it’s worth mentioning the role of Amore in Monteverdi’s Il ballo delle Ingrate in Guastalla (Italy) also recorded for ARION (Paris) in 1995.
In 2010 she made her debut as Satirino in La Calisto by F. Cavalli at the Theater Basel (CH) under the direction of Andrea Marcon. In the same year she sang the title role in Cappuccetto Rosso by Carlo Boccadoro in Modena (Italy).
In 2011 and 2012 she has been Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro at the Schlosstheater in Potsdam (D) under the direction of Sergio Azzolini. In 2012 she sung in The fairy Queen at the Theater Basel with La Cetra Barockorchester Basel, conducted by Andrea Marcon.
In 2013 and 2015 she has taken part in the Academy program organized by La Capella Reial de Catalunya under the direction of Jordi Savall and she has been invited since then as a regular member of the ensemble.
In 2015 she was an invited guest at the Theater Basel for Medèe by M. A. Charpentier and Juditha Triumphans by A. Vivaldi.
She sang the role of the Angel in La Resurrezione by G.F.Händel under the guidance of Diego Fasolis in Lugano (CH) and on tour in Italy.
In January 2017 she performed in the Opening night of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg under the baton of Thomas Hengelbrock.
In june 2017 she made her debut as Oberto in Alcina by G. F. Händel at the Theater Basel under the direction of Andrea Marcon.

She has performed in various festival around Europe and in Japan, Colombia, Armenia, Georgia and Bolivia, with different ensembles and conductors like Jordi Savall, Andrea Marcon, Thomas Hengelbrock, Diego Fasolis and Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, among others.
She performs regularly with the Balthasar-Neumann Chor, the Capella Reial de Catalunya, La Cetra Vokalensemble and the Choeur de Chambre de Namur as well as with Vox Luminis, Zürcher Sing-Akademie, La Fonte Musica, Servir Antico and Melpomen.

Among future engagements Amore and Giunone in Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria in Schloss Waldegg (CH) and a tour in Japan with the organist Aki Noda.

She is also interested in contemporary music and she has taken part in various operas, concerts and first performances of contemporary pieces.
